Kari Reed Endorsed for Minneapolis School Board |

CD-5 committee members with the City Committee nominated and unanimously endorsed Kari Reed as a candidate for Minneapolis School Board August 19.
I will be an advocate for all children in Minneapolis who attend public schools. I am not a proponent of the sixty million dollar per year levy referendum because, I do not believe more money is the answer. Despite some of the highest per pupil spending in the state, Minneapolis has some of the poorest results. I promote neighborhood schools and decentralizing the curriculum to give parents quality choices for their children’s education.
Visit Kari's web site for details and to support her campaign. The primary election is Tuesday, September 9. |

The MN Sun-Post interviewed Barb Davis White at a recent citizen meeting in Hopkins: Working as a pastor for 25 years with Light Foundation Ministries in Minneapolis, Barb Davis White has had the opportunity to mentor many inner-city children.
She said she had seen first-hand the struggles those children faced and wanted to do something to help on a larger scale. It is one of the main reasons she is running for the Fifth Congressional District in November to represent Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Davis White, a Republican and alumni of Minneapolis North High School, will face Independent Party candidate Bill McCaughey of Minneapolis and the winner of a Sept. 9 Democratic primary between incumbent Keith Ellison and challenger Gregg Iverson, both of Minneapolis.

SD60 Door Knocking - Saturdays |
|
|
|
The campaign season is upon us and SD60 GOP is door knocking every Saturday up to Election Day. We are creating 3 shifts: 10 a.m., Noon and 2 p.m. These door knocking missions will be held in various precincts withing SD60 to identify voters. This is crucial work to be done in preparation for Get Out The Vote phone-banking immediately before Election Day. Past elections have proven that effective GOTV work can gain a percentile or 3 for our voter turnout. And that effort will only be as good as the Voter Identification work that precedes it. And that time is now.
To sign up and join our winning teams, call Scott Brooks at 612-824-6218 or e-mail
