CD-5 committee members with the City Committee nominated and unanimously endorsed Kari Reed as a candidate for Minneapolis School Board August 19. Reed's vote totals in the September primary also advanced her to the general election November 4.

I will be an advocate for all children in Minneapolis who attend public schools. I am not a proponent of the sixty million dollar per year levy referendum because, I do not believe more money is the answer. Despite some of the highest per pupil spending in the state, Minneapolis has some of the poorest results. I promote neighborhood schools and decentralizing the curriculum to give parents quality choices for their children’s education.
