The MN Sun-Post interviewed Barb Davis White at a recent citizen meeting in Hopkins:

Working as a pastor for 25 years with Light Foundation Ministries in Minneapolis, Barb Davis White has had the opportunity to mentor many inner-city children.

She said she had seen first-hand the struggles those children faced and wanted to do something to help on a larger scale. It is one of the main reasons she is running for the Fifth Congressional District in November to represent Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Davis White, a Republican and alumni of Minneapolis North High School, will face Independent Party candidate Bill McCaughey of Minneapolis and the winner of a Sept. 9 Democratic primary between incumbent Keith Ellison and challenger Gregg Iverson, both of Minneapolis.
